This is an education site. It iss dedicated to disseminating information and opinions about Dharm. Our vision is provide education about Hinduism by providing high quality articles and links on this site.

There are many websites devoted to Hinduism. The purpose of this site is to serve as an educational resources, by organizing the information in a way which is intuitive to navigate to and understand. Where high quality information is available elsewhere, we will provide links to it.

Although the the word Dharm originates from Sanskrit, and is the term used in Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Jainism, and other religions which originated in India, it does not technically imply a specific religion. It’s meaning is the philosophy of right thoughts and actions.

Near term plans

This site was started in August 2004. Over time, it will be expanded to provide extensive educational content about Hinduism.

Over the next few months, the following will be added to this website:

• Listing of Hindu scriptures by grouping and by historical dates
• Selected Hindu scripures, or links to them
• Hindu Calendar

Other plans include:

• Facility to allow visitors to subscribe to newsletters
• Newsletters to advise subscribers of updates to the site
• An editorial board of learned men and women who will validate contributiond to the web for historical and philosophical accuracy
